Align launches next-gen Invisalign simulation tool

Align Technology has introduced Invisalign Outcome Simulator Pro, said to be the next generation patient communication tool that show patients their potential new smile after Invisalign treatment.

The Invisalign Outcome Simulator Pro uses advanced algorithms to generate realistic simulations of Invisalign treatment outcomes. Available in both in-face visualization and/or 3D dentition views, the company says the communication tool will help drive patient education and treatment acceptance.

The Invisalign Outcome Simulator Pro is available on iTero Element Plus Series scanners and imaging systems.

Expanding Align’s existing Invisalign Outcome Simulator technology, the new iteration is said to add the benefits of the Company’s ClinCheck “In-Face” Visualization tool – which combines a photo of a patient’s face with their 3D treatment simulation – to create a personalized view of how their new smile could look. This can all be done chairside in minutes, says Align Technology.

Other features of the Invisalign Outcome Simulator Pro include:

  • Supports a more streamlined workflow and overall consultation to make the the most of patient chair time;
  • Easily capture patient photos on a mobile device using the Invisalign Practice App and take the scan on the iTero Element Plus series scanner;
  • Generates the Invisalign treatment simulation in the background, enabling doctors to continue the consultation using other iTero tools in their chairside discussions with their patients.

Currently in limited market release, the Invisalign Outcome Simulator Pro will be available on all iTero Element Plus Series scanners and imaging systems starting in the second half of 2022.
