Aoralscan 3 Wireless Intraoral Scanner by Shining 3D with Motion Sensing and AI Scan

China: Shining 3D, a company that specializes in providing digital solutions for dental and medical industries, has launched its first-ever wireless intraoral scanner, the Aoralscan 3 Wireless. The new scanner is an upgrade to the previous generation and features advanced technology for a more efficient scanning experience.

Long-Lasting Battery

The Aoralscan 3 Wireless boasts a long-lasting battery life, which can last up to 10 days under sleep mode, and can scan up to 60 cases with a single charge, says Shining 3D. It is equipped with three batteries and a charging hub, allowing for non-stop scanning. The scanner can also be charged using the cradle, which is included in the package. There is also a cord provided for those who prefer a wired scan option.

The Aoralscan 3 Wireless is designed to provide a faster scan experience, utilizing Wi-Fi 6 technology for more stable data transmission. According to a press release, it can scan continuously for up to 2 hours on a single charge, making it ideal for long procedures.

Two Tip Sizes for Adults and Children

The scanner comes with two different tip sizes, one for adult use and one for pediatric use, and scan tips with a fast heating function for anti-fogging purposes. According to the manufacturer, the AI software seamlessly stitches images with consistent accuracy, allowing dentists to scan a single arch in around 20 seconds. The scanner’s motion sensing technology allows for minimal contact with the computer during scanning, enabling a safer experience for both patients and dentists.

Additional Software Applications

The AI scan feature automatically identifies and filters out unnecessary soft tissue data during scanning, resulting in a quicker and cleaner scan process. The refined scan feature helps obtain clear margin data and more detailed surface data for better accuracy while the metal scan feature provides an enhanced scanning algorithm for better metal tooth scanning experience and data rendering, says the company.

The scanner comes with a variety of software applications such as Orthodontic Simulation, Model Creator, Temp Design, Indirect Bonding Tray Design, Oral Health Report, and Data Track. These applications provide dentists with more tools to enhance their workflow and patient care.
