Ortek Therapuetics released BasicBites SynergyPlus, soft prebiotic chews designed to support tooth enamel and healthy bones. BasicBites SynergyPlus has been added to Ortek’s BasicBites product line.
Available in chocolate and caramel flavours, the new prebiotic chews are said to combine Ortek’s microbiome oral care technology with nutrients to help support tooth enamel and maintain healthy bones and immune and cardiovascular systems.
According to a press release from the company, the product was developed with a patent-pending formula that combines arginine bicarbonate and calcium carbonate. The ingredients are said to work together to create a healthy, balanced oral pH environment that protects teeth from harm caused by dry mouth and sugary foods and drinks.
Arginine is an amino acid that promotes the beneficial pH-raising bacteria discovered in plaque. The result, the company claims, is a buffering effect on tooth surfaces that helps neutralize harmful plaque. The calcium carbonate is said to encourage healthy tooth enamel and bones.
The formulation is reinforced by K2VITAL, which the company claims is a K2 MK-7 formula designed to transport calcium into bones and teeth. It further contains Vitamin D3 that helps to absorb calcium into the bloodstream and maintains strong teeth and bones.
