China: The 5th Guanghua Oral Implantation Forum and National Continuing Education Program successfully convened at the conference hall of Dongfeng Hotel.

The Oral Implant Forum is jointly sponsored by the Guangdong Stomatological Association, and its affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University.

The forum hosted representatives from the Department of Stomatology of the First People’s Hospital of Kashgar, Xinjiang to exchange views and research findings via ‘live’ lectures and surgical lectures in real time.

Prof Lin Zhengmei, President of Guangdong Stomatologist Association and Vice President of Sun Yat-sen University Affiliated Stomatological Hospital, was invited to give a speech at the conference. Prof. Deng Feilong, Director of Implantation Department welcomed Director Nurbia and Mireshati from Kadi Hospital as well as Dr Ali Mire to the conference, and paid tribute to colleagues in Kashgar online.

Held from July 27th to 29th, this forum is themed “Forwarding Dental Implants through Digital and Methodical Ways” (translated), based on the background of the digital medical treatment of oral implantation.

Opinion leaders and leading scholars presented on such topics as: The status quo of oral implant digital technology: standardized diagnosis and treatment procedures, evidence-based academic frontiers, and focus on medical safety; Repair of complex tissue defects: zygomatic implantation of hard tissue, mandibular nerve transposition, bone augmentation and keratinized mucosal reconstruction of soft tissue; and Digital cutting-edge examples and targeted model practice: dental implant robot, dynamic navigation, etc.

The purpose of this forum is to demonstrate and share practical clinical theories and practical techniques with the participating doctors, and use the medium of the Digital Medical Center of the Stomatological Hospital Affiliated to Sun Yat-sen University to strengthen the dental implant technology connection between the Sun Yat-sen University and the Kashgar area.
