DEXIS has announced the launch of the DEXassist solution, powered by assisted intelligence (AI). This software solution incorporates AI capabilities from DTX Studio Clinic into the DEXIS 10 Imaging Suite Software, revolutionising dental imaging and diagnostics.

The DEXassist solution equips dental practitioners with the ability to detect six critical pathologies in 2D intraoral X-rays, including caries, calculus, bone loss, periapical radiolucency, root canal filling deficiencies, and discrepancies at the margin of existing restorations. This integration elevates diagnostic confidence, efficiency, and overall productivity, providing practitioners with valuable insights to enhance patient care.

Seamless Integration with Existing DEXIS Software

DEXassist seamlessly integrates with a practice’s existing DEXIS 10 software, allowing practitioners to use their current DEXIS sensors for capturing 2D intraoral X-ray images. This integration requires no additional training, ensuring a smooth transition for dental professionals.

Lori Clements, Vice President, Commercial, North America at DEXIS, highlighted the ease of implementation, stating, “Integration with current DEXIS software means that installation is quick and easy for practices that are already familiar with DEXIS systems.”

The DEXassist solution empowers dentists to harness AI-enabled 2D findings to streamline the diagnostic process and treatment planning. With a simple click, clinicians can identify up to six different focus areas when acquiring X-rays directly within DEXIS software.

Brian Gooch, Vice President, Global Product Management, emphasized the time-saving benefits of DEXassist, stating, “DEXassist’s AI solution helps to identify and supports diagnoses in up to six areas of dental pathologies, helping clinicians and staff to save time and optimize patient care.” Additionally, DEXassist enables practitioners to share AI findings with patients in an easy-to-understand format when discussing their diagnosis and treatment plan.
