Direct Diagnostics and CRET Partnership Enhances Dental Education with HR5 Test

Direct Diagnostics, a provider of salivary diagnostic testing, has announced its membership with the Center for Research & Education in Technology (CRET). This collaboration reportedly marks a significant milestone in Direct Diagnostics’ mission to enhance oral health and drive advancements in dental education.

CRET, a non-profit organization, specializes in technology-based education for dental students and healthcare professionals. Their programs aim to bridge the gap between education and technology, nurturing the next generation of healthcare experts. As a member of CRET, Direct Diagnostics will contribute to the organization’s dedication to excellence by offering access to their HR5 test.

HR5 Test for Oral Pathogens

The HR5 test, developed by Direct Diagnostics, is a non-invasive diagnostic tool that detects the presence of the top 5 high-risk oral pathogens. By integrating this tool into dental school curricula, Direct Diagnostics hopes to empower students to learn about the latest advancements in salivary diagnostics, equipping them with essential skills for the future of periodontal healthcare.

Expressing enthusiasm about the partnership, Dr Thomas W. Nabors, DDS, FACD, founder of salivary diagnostic testing using DNA PCR and chief of oral systemic medicine for Direct Diagnostics, stated, “We are thrilled to join CRET and to be able to contribute to their mission of enhancing dental education and bringing new technology to dental schools. We share their passion for advancing the future of healthcare and look forward to collaborating with them to continue advancing dental education.”

Edward F. Rossomando, DDS, PhD, MS, founder and president of CRET, expressed his excitement, stating, “We are excited to welcome Direct Diagnostics to our organization and look forward to working together to promote excellence in dental education.”

Preparing Future Healthcare Professionals

Direct Diagnostics’ partnership with CRET underscores their commitment to preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals for the evolving landscape of oral healthcare, says the company. By providing dental schools with access to the HR5 test, Direct Diagnostics aims to provide students with exposure to state-of-the-art technology and personalized treatment approaches for high-risk oral pathogens.

Jeffrey Sopko, president and CEO of Direct Diagnostics, emphasized their dedication, saying, “We are proud to support CRET’s commitment to excellence and to continue making salivary diagnostics more accessible. By collaborating with CRET, we are excited to help foster the next generation of healthcare professionals and advance dental education for a better tomorrow.”
