New Centre of Excellence to Boost Dental Care and Innovation
SINGAPORE: Dontia Alliance Pte. Ltd. (DA) has officially opened its Advanced Implant Strategies Centre of Excellence (AIS Centre) in Singapore, marking a significant step forward in dental care and innovation. The centre, launched in partnership with T32 Implant Centre, aims to bring together dental professionals and partners to collaborate and provide comprehensive dental care.
Ambitious Expansion Plans
The AIS Centre in Singapore is DA’s second such facility, following the inaugural centre in Penang, Malaysia. DA has set an ambitious target to establish five AIS Centres across major Asian cities by 2026, including Hong Kong (SAR), Vietnam, and the Philippines.
Commitment to Clinical Excellence
The AIS Centre is designed as a multifaceted hub offering specialised services in dental implants and dentures. It also serves as a platform for learning, collaboration, and innovation among dental professionals and related businesses.
Dr. Wong, Chief Executive of Dontia Alliance, emphasized the centre’s focus on quality, stating, “Under the commitment, Dontia Alliance and T32 are providing high-quality clinical outcomes and patient-centric care.”
Supporting Singapore’s Healthcare Agenda
The launch of the AIS Centre aligns with Singapore’s national healthcare initiatives, particularly the ‘8020 Movement’ and the Age Well SG programme. These initiatives aim to address the issue of edentulism (complete tooth loss) in Singapore’s aging population.
Tackling Edentulism
Recent statistics indicate that approximately 13% of Singaporeans aged 60 and above have no natural teeth. The ‘8020 Movement’ encourages Singaporeans to maintain at least 20 functioning teeth by age 80 to improve their quality of life.
To support this initiative, T32 Dental clinics will offer complimentary denture cleaning services, while Dontia Digital Innovations (DDi) Laboratory will provide a 1-year warranty on all dentures produced.
Public-Private Collaboration
The success of the ‘8020 Movement’ relies heavily on collaboration between public and private sectors. The new T32 Implant Centre is expected to play a crucial role in bridging this gap and raising public awareness about the importance of maintaining good dental health throughout life.
Education and Training
Beyond patient care, the AIS Centre will also focus on education and training programmes for dental professionals. This commitment to ongoing learning ensures that practitioners stay updated on the latest technologies and advancements in dental care.
As the dental landscape in Singapore continues to evolve, the launch of the AIS Centre of Excellence represents a significant step towards improving dental care and addressing the challenges of an aging population.
