Philduct Launches DPEARL Remo for Remote Mini-Orthodontics

Japan: Philduct, a Japanese company providing a mouthpiece-type orthodontic brand, has announced the launch of its new orthodontic service called “DPEARL Remo,” which offers mini-orthodontics for front teeth correction only. This service is designed for those who have previously undergone orthodontic treatment, require a second correction, and cannot visit a clinic due to distance. The company has started accepting pre-registrations for this service, which combines both hospital visits and remote consultations.

Orthodontic Service with 3D Technology

DPEARL is a transparent mouthpiece-type orthodontic service that utilizes 3D technology. The brand was launched in 2019, and the affiliated clinics are expanding nationwide this year. The company uses a data-driven comprehensive diagnosis and treatment plan to provide high-quality orthodontic services at approximately half the cost and duration of conventional services.

Remote Course in Response to COVID-19

In response to the increasing demand for remote medical care due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Philduct has prepared a new remote course that can be accessed through LINE, with one hospital visit to the dentist. This remote course is designed for those who have mild cases that can be treated within four months, want to fix only their front teeth, or have experienced orthodontics in the past and need to correct the relapsed part quickly.

The price for this service is 280,000 (US$2K) yen excluding tax, and bulk or split plans are also available. The first 200 eligible customers can receive discount coupons by email. However, the service can only be used after a dentist’s diagnosis.

Advance Reception for DPEARL Remo

To register for advanced reception, users need to fill in a special form on the company’s website. The flow of use involves an initial examination at a DPEARL Spot (affiliated dental clinic) to diagnose whether the course is suitable for the user, followed by a 3D simulation delivered through LINE, confirmation of explanation, and payment. Mouthpieces will then be delivered to the user’s home, and they can use the app and LINE support for the correction process.
