Korea: The “Yeungnam International Dental Conference and Equipment Exhibition (YESDEX 2023)” is set to take place from October 28th to 29th at the EXCO Convention Center in Daegu. Organized by the Daegu Dental Association and sponsored by the dental societies of Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, and Daegu, the event aims to present the latest advancements in the field of dentistry.

Organising Committee Meeting

To announce the preparations for the event, the YESDEX 2023 organizing committee, supervised by the SIDEX 2023 committee, will hold its first organizing committee meeting and a press conference on May 27th at COEX in Seoul. 

With around 40 committee members in attendance, including key figures such as Park Se-ho, President of the Daegu Dental Association and Chairman of YESDEX 2023, Lee Ji-ho, Organizing Committee Chairman, and representatives from other dental associations, the meeting will serve as a platform to outline the plans for the event.

President Park Se-ho expressed his excitement for the event, stating, “Under the slogan ‘Big Step to New Era!’ for YESDEX 2023 in Daegu, it will be a new starting point where dentists’ footsteps move forward, and it will be reborn in this new era with innovative programs integrating digital technology.”

First YESDEX Since COVID

YESDEX 2023 marks the first occurrence of the event since the declaration of the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. This year’s conference, which will be held at the EXCO Convention Center in Daegu, is expected to offer a fresh and innovative experience for attendees.

The international dental conference component will consist of over 40 sessions, featuring a lineup of renowned overseas speakers. Notable figures such as Professor Goldstein from New York University College of Dentistry and Professor Kim Yong-geon (YK.Kim), recognized for his expertise in periodontics and prosthodontics, have been invited to share their knowledge and insights. 

The conference will also include customized cultural lectures on investment strategies, golf lessons, and various events, including luxury car displays and the opportunity to win cutting-edge home appliances.

Equipment Exhibition

The equipment exhibition, a significant aspect of YESDEX 2023, will showcase the offerings of 120 companies through 500 booths. Dental professionals attending the event will have the chance to explore the latest dental technologies, equipment, and products on display.

“Since its inception in 2012, YESDEX has continuously undergone remarkable transformations, including exhibitions, academic lectures, poster presentations, and various cultural events,”said Park Se-ho. 

“As we mark the 12th year, we aim to achieve successful hosting through cooperation with the agency, DEXCO, and create the best results by working together.”
