Ivoclar celebrates its 100th anniversary at the International Dental Show (IDS) 2023, while also unveiling its latest innovation, the PrograScan PS7 dental lab scanner. According to Icoclar, the PrograScan PS7 dental lab scanner is set to revolutionize the industry, and is meant to demonstrate Ivoclar’s ongoing dedication to innovation and meeting the needs of its customers.
Three Times Faster than Previous Ivoclar Solutions
The PrograScan PS7 is equipped with two scan tables, two optical light units, and eight cameras, and scans start with just one click. The scanner can scan two full-arch models simultaneously and render 3D models in under 120 seconds. Technicians can now start designing a case three times faster than previous Ivoclar scanning solutions.
Used together with the exocad Dental CAD software, PrograScan PS7 offers straightforward and intuitive handling, much like the other laboratory scanners within the PrograScan family. The scanner aligns technology, software, and materials, and it integrates seamlessly with Ivoclar’s proven digital workflows.
Improving Efficiency and Employee Retention
CMO Patric Frank shared the company’s plans to drive innovation beyond chemistry, focusing on training clinicians and technicians, and developing new solutions to meet the needs of dental practices and labs. The company has developed a new dental lab consulting service, piloting at present, which aims to increase efficiency and employee retention.
“The hardest job today is how to find talent and train talent to do the job,” said Frank.
