Event: Korea International Dental Medical Equipment Exhibition – postponed

The Korea International Dental Medical Equipment Exhibition also known as KDX 2022, will be “temporarily delayed due to the spread of Omicron”. Originally scheduled to take place at the aT Center in Seoul, from 9– 10 April, it was announced that the event will be postponed although no further details have been provided.

The decision was made during the 37th regular general meeting of the Korea Dental Medical Equipment Industry Association. The virtual meeting was attended by: Park Tae-geun, President, Korean Dental Association; Choi Byung-jin, President of the Korean Dental Institute; Cheol-wook Yoo, President of the Korea Medical Equipment Industry Association; and Lee Jae-hwa, President of the Korea Medical Equipment Industry Cooperative.

In his opening address, Chairman Lim Hoon-taek indicated that many requests had been made for the postponement.

The meeting also convened on the ‘2021 Annual Yearbook of the Korea Dental Medical Equipment Industry Association’. It was decided that the yearbook would produce statistical data of the dental medical device industry rather than the overall statistical data of medical devices.

“We will actively promote the dental medical device annual statistical data produced by the association to national institutions such as the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, the Health and Commerce Promotion Agency, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, and the Ministry of Small and Medium Business Ventures,” he added.

“I will use it for that purpose.”
