Korea: Osstem Implant has recently unveiled its latest additions to the product lineup of ‘Q-Oss+’ – a synthetic bone graft material. The products reportedly showcase an optimal composition ratio of ‘β-TCP 80%+ HA 20% (8:2)’, for improved bone formation and substitution capabilities. With impressive osteoinductive and osteoconductive properties, says Osstem, Q-Oss+ is expected to be a promising option for various dental applications.
Porous Structure
One notable feature of Q-Oss+ is its porous structure, which enables excellent blood perfusion, creating an optimal environment for bone regeneration, says a press release. It has reportedly gone through rigorous testing in which it has shown no signs of inflammation or immune reactions during implantation.
The newly released variants of Q-Oss+, namely ‘Q-Oss+ Collagen’ and ‘Q-Oss+ Pen,’ are said to retain the traditional advantages of the original product while also enhancing convenience for dentists.
About the Q-Oss+ Collagen
Among the variations of Q-Oss+, ‘Q-Oss+ Collagen’ stands out as a cylindrical collagen type that is said to offer ease of handling and suitability for extraction and placement procedures. With a 10% inclusion of New Zealand collagen, this variant facilitates handling when graft particles clump together. Additionally, according to a press release, its porous structure promotes high blood perfusion, improved fluid penetration, and enhanced cell attachment in fine pores, thereby contributing to the formation of abundant new bone.
Furthermore, Q-Oss+ reportedly enables stable volume maintenance throughout the bone formation period, making it particularly suitable for procedures that involve the extraction and replacement of bone tissues.
About the Q-Oss+ Pen
The ‘Q-Oss+ Pen’ is another addition to the Q-Oss+ lineup, designed as a curved cylindrical syringe that is designed for more streamlined and convenient procedures. According to Osstem Implant, this variant can be easily applied to the maxillary sinus and alveolar ridge, and its easy extrusion capability enhances its overall applicability. With its ring-shaped design allowing for single-handed operation, the Q-Oss+ Pen is said to reduce soaking time by more than 50% compared to traditional particle forms.
The diverse lineup of Q-Oss+ products means that dental professionals can choose the most suitable variant based on the specific requirements of each case, providing optimal outcomes for patients.
Special Promotion for Launch
To commemorate the launch of the Q-Oss+ lineup, Osstem Implant is conducting a large-scale discount promotion. Dental practitioners can take advantage of the 61% discount on all Q-Oss+ products for a three-month period, effective until September 30th, 2023.
Furthermore, customers can choose from particle sizes in Small (0.5-1.0mm) and Large (1.0-2.0mm), and an additional discount is available for those who purchase three Q-Oss+ products, whether in the Collagen or Pen type.
Reflecting on the recent launch, an Osstem representative stated, “With the introduction of ‘Q-Oss+ Collagen’ and ‘Q-Oss+ Pen,’ we have successfully completed our lineup of bone graft materials, encompassing homologous bone (SureOss), heterologous bone (A-Oss), and synthetic bone (Q-Oss+).”
