Osstem Implant‘s U.S. subsidiary, known as Hiossen Inc., proudly accepted the esteemed ‘2023 President’s E Award‘ on behalf of U.S. President Joe Biden. The award, presented on June 6th, is a testament to the subsidiary’s significant contributions to increasing U.S. exports and promoting international trade partnerships.

History of the President’s “E” Award

Established in 1961 under former U.S. President John F. Kennedy, the President’s “E” Award serves as an encouragement and recognition to companies and organizations that actively contribute to the expansion of U.S. exports. The award symbolizes the importance of international trade in fostering economic growth and prosperity.

The ‘2023 President’s E Award’ is bestowed upon twenty deserving winners annually, selected through a rigorous evaluation process by the U.S. Department of Commerce. State governments across the nation recommend candidates, and the final screening ensures that recipients meet stringent criteria, including sustainability, business model, corporate ethics, customer service level, and export activities.

Growing Exports and Profits

According to a press release, Hiossen has demonstrated exceptional profitability and financial stability over the past four years, achieving remarkable growth in exports while maintaining a strong domestic performance. The subsidiary’s dedication to producing high-quality products and creating employment opportunities contributed to its selection as an award recipient.

Lee Kyung-rae, CEO of the U.S. subsidiary, expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating, “This award signifies the U.S. government’s acknowledgment of our U.S. branch’s exceptional capabilities and potential for business development.” He further emphasized the award’s significance in facilitating the subsidiary’s operations in the U.S. market and expanding its customer base to over 50 countries worldwide.

Awards Ceremony

The award ceremony took place in the U.S. Department of Commerce government building in Washington, D.C., where Gina Raimondo, the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, presented the certificate of commendation to Lee Kyung-rae. 

In light of this achievement, Osstem Implant‘s U.S. subsidiary plans to incorporate the President’s commendation logo into the packaging design of all locally sold products, enhancing customer trust. The logo will also be featured on employees’ business cards, and special group uniforms commemorating the award will be created to foster employee pride and encourage continued growth.
