Osteoid Inc., a dental software solutions provider, has announced the release of the latest version of their 3D treatment planning software, Invivo 7.1.
This new version introduces a new feature in orthodontic treatment planning – automated cephalometric tracing empowered by artificial intelligence (AI). Through the 3D Analysis module, orthodontists can now perform 3D cephalometric tracing with a single button click, potentially reducing the time required compared to traditional methods.
Time-Saving AI Technology
Calvin Hur, CEO of Osteoid Inc., expressed enthusiasm about this technological advancement, stating, “We are excited to bring this new technology to the market. By leveraging AI to automate the cephalometric tracing process, we are helping orthodontists save valuable time during treatment planning.” This AI-driven feature is poised to enhance efficiency and productivity in orthodontic practices, providing practitioners with more time to focus on patient care.
Comprehensive Capabilities of Invivo
The latest version of Invivo offers an array of features and capabilities, enabling dentists, orthodontists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, and radiologists to perform diverse 3D treatment plans with ease and accuracy. In addition to the AI-driven cephalometric tracing, Invivo integrates various tools to streamline workflows and improve patient outcomes.
Building on Success
This release follows the successful launch of Invivo One by Osteoid last year. Invivo One combined the Invivo desktop software and the cloud-based Invivo Workspace platform into a single subscription solution. This integration has provided doctors and their clinical staff with convenient access to Osteoid’s industry-leading software in an affordable and user-friendly package.
Mike Tsang, head of product at Osteoid, expressed excitement about the new release, noting, “We’re really excited about this release because it’s the first to incorporate AI. You can expect to see an increasing number of AI-driven features in future Invivo releases as we embark on the next phase for Invivo.”
