Overjet makes Forbes AI 50 List

USA: Overjet is the only dental start-up named to Forbes’ list of “Top 50 Most Promising A.I. Companies Shaping the Future”.

Named amongst North America’s top A.I. companies on the annual Forbes AI 50 list, Overjet is one of only five healthcare companies to be shortlisted for the prestigious ranking.

Founded in 2018, Overjet is the developer of a dental AI platform capable of detecting, quantifying and visualizing pathologies to support clinicians and improve patient outcomes. The pathologies cover dental problems such as bone loss, caries, and decay.

The platform processes datasets containing millions of data points. It combines advanced data science methods, deep learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and advanced statistical models across disparate data sets encompassing multi-dimensional formats.

Overjet’s customers in the insurance sector, including major health plans, reaches over 75 million people in the U.S.

Into its fourth edition, the Forbes AI 50 earmarks forward-looking companies leading the charge in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

Acknowledging the difficulty of identifying companies that utilizing AI technology in transformative and measurable ways, Forbes had to whittle down the list from 400 submissions. An algorithm supplied by Sequoia Capital was used to identify more than 120 entries with the highest quantitative scores.

An expert panel of 12 AI judges – representing the academia, IPO executives, venture capital and international technology companies – was tasked to make the final selection.
