Planmeca CBCT integrated into ClearChoice network

The ClearChoice Management Services (CCMS) has announced their partnership with Planmeca and Henry Schein. CCMS is the administrative support team that supports the ClearChoice Dental Implant Center network, which has more than 75 centers across the country. 

According to the company’s press release, the ClearChoice doctors will integrate the Planmeca Viso G7, a CBCT imaging system, into the ClearChoice network. Henry Schein Dental, the dental division of Henry Schein, will be handling distribution and implementation of the integration.

The Planmeca Viso G7 offers the ability to combine CBCT, intra-oral and facial scans into a complete digital record. The project’s lead pilot Prosthodontist, Dr Theresa Wang commented on several features of the CBCT, including: a large field of view with low radiation; artificial intelligence that reduces noise and scatter; movement correction to provide more diagnostic images and enrich treatment plan presentations.

“The Planmeca Viso G7 offers strikingly clear scans, modules for creating surgical guides, and significantly less radiation to the patient,” noted Dr Thomas Berry, Vice President, Surgical Support for CCMS.

“The unit also has the ability to perform a 3-D facial photo of the patient that overlays the CBCT image.”
