USA: PreXion, Inc. has extended its dental imaging product range with the introduction of two new offerings: the Evolve Sensor intraoral dental digital imaging sensor and the PreXion3D Evolve CBCT, PAN, and CEPH – a comprehensive all-in-one dental imaging solution.
The Evolve Sensor delivers high-definition images that offer dental clinicians the precision required for accurate and secure diagnoses. What sets it apart is its compatibility with all available x-ray equipment, ensuring a smooth transition to digital imaging with user-friendly software.
Hi-Def Images in Real Time
PreXion emphasises that this solution not only impresses patients but also contributes to reducing the environmental footprint. The shift to digital x-rays eliminates the need for traditional film and chemicals, saving time and costs. With digital x-rays, clinicians can capture high-definition images in real-time in just seconds, as opposed to the approximately 5 minutes required by analog systems.
The Evolve Sensor utilises a replaceable 3-meter long USB 2.0 cable with an internal silicone protection system for enhanced durability. This technology is based on Cesium Lodide (Csl-TL), the same technology found in high-definition CT scanners, ensuring powerful diagnostic images.
The accompanying software simplifies image organisation, patient registration, and image capture and organisation, making it easy to find, access, and share images. It offers a range of user-friendly tools, including rotation, zoom, brightness, contrast, and gamma adjustment, text insertion, measurements, and full-screen image comparison.
Evolve CBCT, PAN and CEPH
PreXion’s Evolve CBCT, PAN, and CEPH model is engineered to meet high demands and provide a comprehensive dental imaging solution in a single product. Available in both 3D and upgradable 2D, this technology is lauded for its intelligence, precision, and high performance.
The PreXion 2D Evolve offers high-quality images and employs advanced filters to cater to clinician requirements. Its multislice capability enables precise navigation through 41 panoramic slices, facilitating the visualisation of desired structures. Reconstruction algorithms ensure exceptional sharpness and contrast in every scan.
By adding the CEPH arm to the system, the PreXion Evolve enhances its diagnostic potential for cephalometric exams. The specialised CEPH sensor excels at producing high-quality images of both hard and soft tissues, while advanced collimation mechanisms and rapid scanning techniques minimize x-ray exposure.
The software incorporates an innovative function that enhances image detail, especially in regions such as incisors, canines, TMJ, and root canals. With the combination of algorithms, it enables the reconstruction of optimized panoramic images, providing powerful diagnostic quality for complex cases.
