Product News: Midmark announces partnership with Bien-air

Midmark Corp. will partner Bien-Air Dental SA to deliver a more complete and easy-to-use operatory ecosystem.

According to the press release from Midmark, Bien-Air’s latest electric handpiece solutions will be integrated into their dental delivery equipment.

“Dental clinicians are exposed to health and safety risks on the job every day,” reads the press release.

“Midmark and Bien-Air are working together to enhance safety, optimize ergonomics and improve both clinician and patient experiences.

“Now, dental clinicians can select Midmark’s leading Procenter and Elevance delivery units with Bien-Air’s newest micromotor and contra-angle handpieces for an operatory-ready solution.”

The solution aims to:

  • Leverage the versatility of the newest micromotor and two new contra-angle handpieces to simplify the dental workflow. With the latest set-up, dentists would be able to perform a broad range of clinical procedures – as compared other solutions that Midmark says “require up to seven attachments”.
  • Provide lighter and smaller instruments. The company says this would achieve “proper ergonomic balance” with less strain on the user.
  • Provide better access to the oral cavity via smaller handpiece heads.
  • Reduce risk of patient burns with CoolTouch+, said to be the first-ever heat-arresting system that does not exceed human body temperature.
  • Reduce cross-contamination via an autoclavable anti-retraction valve.

Midmark will also be offering the Lubricare 2 handpiece care and maintenance system from Bien-Air. Designed for cleaning and lubricating handpieces, the system is compatible with handpieces from a variety of manufacturers and may be easily integrated into the instrument processing workflow.

Founded in 1915 as The Cummings Machine Company, Midmark Corporation produces medical, dental, veterinary products and related services.

Bien-Air Dental is part of Bien-Air Medical Technologies, manufacturer and developer of instrumentation devices and systems across dental and surgery specialities.
