Roland DGA Corporation Names Dan Burmeister as President

Roland DGA Corporation, a provider of advanced digital technologies including wide-format inkjet printers, vinyl cutters, and dental mills, has announced the appointment of Dan Burmeister as its new president. This decision comes as part of a strategic leadership transition aimed at guiding the company through its next phase of growth. Burmeister succeeds Amado Lara, who will continue to contribute to Roland DGA in the newly established role of Vice President of Latin American Sales and Business Development.

The change in leadership underscores Roland DGA’s commitment to expanding its presence in both traditional and emerging markets. With over two decades of experience in the print industry, Burmeister is expected to bring a fresh perspective while building on the company’s strong foundation. His extensive background includes senior roles at major industry players such as Canon, Eastman Kodak, Océ, Encad, and Xerox.

A Proven Track Record in the Print Industry

Burmeister’s career highlights include a seven-year tenure as Canon USA’s Senior Director of Sales for the West Region, where he demonstrated expertise in driving regional growth. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Western Sales/Channel Segment Leader for Eastman Kodak’s commercial B2B division, overseeing key areas such as plates, consumables, inkjet, workflow, and packaging. His international experience also includes a stint as Encad’s Executive Director for Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, based in the Netherlands.

Roland DGA’s CEO, Andrew Oransky, expressed confidence in Burmeister’s ability to lead the company forward. “Dan brings with him a wealth of print industry experience as well as the team-leading abilities needed to build upon Roland DGA’s incredible success,” Oransky stated. “He joins Roland DGA at a key point in the growth of our company’s sign and graphics business as well as its expansion into new and exciting markets.”

Oransky further emphasized that Burmeister’s leadership would be instrumental in fostering collaboration with Roland DGA’s staff, dealer network, and partners. The goal is to elevate the company’s performance while maintaining its reputation for innovation and customer satisfaction.

A Vision for Future Growth

For Burmeister, the opportunity to lead Roland DGA represents an exciting challenge. In his own words, “Roland DG has a phenomenal brand name and a long history of innovation. They have recently expanded their offerings to allow entirely new groups of customers the chance to experience and benefit from Roland DG technology.”

He added, “I’m thrilled to have this opportunity to lead the talented team at Roland DGA, where my efforts will be centered on maximizing stakeholder value—from our employees to our partners and customers—as we expand our focus and the markets we serve.”

Burmeister’s priorities are clear: leveraging Roland DG’s innovative legacy while exploring untapped opportunities in diverse sectors. His leadership is expected to play a pivotal role in navigating the company’s ongoing expansion into markets such as dental CAD/CAM, rapid prototyping, and personalized product manufacturing.
