TBS Dental has launched a new surgical instrument, the Elvatome 2.0, designed to provide improved access and comfort during tooth extractions. The instrument features a new TWIST handle for optimal ergonomics, reducing clinician fatigue and increasing rigidity in interproximal areas, says the manufacturer.
By positioning the instrument along the long axis of the root, clinicians can apply pressure with their palm, providing additional apical pressure. The Elvatome 2.0 is an alternative to traditional elevators for tooth extractions, combining the strength of a luxating elevator with the precision of a periotome.
TWIST Handle to Reduce Clinician Fatigue
According to TBS Dental, the Elvatome 2.0 is thicker than the original model, reducing clinician fatigue and increasing rigidity in interproximal areas. The TWIST handle guides clinicians to make a recommended “push and twist” motion, allowing them to easily obtain a purchase point with a penlike grip fashion and convert to a palm grip.
“At TBS Dental, we pride ourselves on being at the forefront of innovation and advancing the field of dentistry,” said Haseeb Sajid, CEO of TBS Dental. “The release of Elvatome 2.0 is the culmination of years of rigorous R&D and advanced engineering, resulting in a dental tool that offers unparalleled precision, strength, and ease of use during extractions. We are excited to bring this game-changing product to dental practitioners and contribute to the betterment of patient care.”
The Elvatome 2.0 is designed to protect tissue, preserve bone, and enhance the patient experience during tooth extractions, says TBS Dental. Its spade-shaped sharp tip can reportedly effortlessly sever the periodontal ligament while expanding the alveolar bone, making extractions faster and easier.
