Ultradent Introduces Jiffy Spin Disks for Rapid and Efficient Restorations

Ultradent Products has unveiled its latest product, the Jiffy Spin shaping and finishing disks, as part of its restorative dentistry line-up. This new disk offers dental professionals a swift and efficient solution for achieving high-quality restorations, says the company.

The Jiffy Spin disks feature an ultra-thin design, specifically crafted for interproximal finishing and shaping. The system comprises aluminum oxide coated disks, ranging from coarse to fine, which are said to facilitate smooth and refined finishes. Additionally, the system includes a distinctive disk exclusively available with Jiffy Spin disks: a diamond grit disk for efficient shaping and removal of excess material.

Extra-Coarse Diamond Grit Disk

According to a press release, the inclusion of an extra-coarse diamond grit disk enables even faster material removal, allowing dental professionals to quickly transition to finer grits. Moreover, Jiffy Spin disks are designed to be compatible with both composite and ceramic materials, ensuring exceptional quality and long-lasting shine, says the manufacturer.

Dr Brett Richins, an early adopter of Jiffy Spin disks, expressed his enthusiasm for the unique features of the extra-coarse disk. He stated, “The extra-coarse disk is a unique product that I absolutely love having around. It allows me to make large adjustments to the length or contour of a restoration quickly, predictably, and with only one disk. Before I started using the extra-coarse disk, I would often have to use several disks if I was doing multiple anterior restorations.”

Slim Shape for Handling Interproximal Regions

The Jiffy Spin disks’ ultra-thin design helps them to fit into any restoration area, making them particularly effective in handling challenging interproximal regions. According to Ultradent, this feature enables dental professionals to efficiently and accurately navigate intricate areas during restorative procedures.

Ultradent’s introduction of Jiffy Spin disks aligns with its aim to provide cutting-edge and efficient solutions to dental professionals, facilitating their ability to deliver high-quality restorations with precision and speed.
