Cocofloss Unveils Cocoshine Whitening Toothpaste

Cocofloss has introduced the Cocoshine Whitening Toothpaste. Designed by dentist Dr. Chrystle Cu, this is a 4-in-1 toothpaste that boasts nano-hydroxyapatite (n-HA), a safe fluoride alternative.

Cocoshine’s formula not only gently whitens teeth but also rebuilds enamel strength, addresses sensitivity, and helps balance oral microbiomes. With flavours like Delicious Mint and Lychee Breeze, Cocoshine it suitable for smiles of all ages.

Meeting Patient Needs

Dr. Cu, the driving force behind Cocoshine, explains, “When it comes to toothpaste, the top two things my patients have asked for are whitening and sensitivity management. A third, growing priority for patients, especially parents, has been nontoxic ingredients—ideally fluoride-free. I knew I needed to design a super-effective toothpaste that met all of these needs and ultimately helps folks keep their teeth for life.”

Cocoshine leverages the remarkable potential of nanocrystals of hydroxyapatite, a mineral that constitutes 97% of tooth enamel. Numerous credible studies have shown that n-HA effectively penetrates below the surface to remineralise and strengthen teeth. In addition to its remineralisation properties, n-HA gently brightens smiles by repairing micro-cracks in enamel, filling them with white n-HA crystals, resulting in a smoother and more reflective surface.

Moreover, n-HA aids in reducing sensitivity by replacing lost minerals and blocking painful stimuli, offering a truly restorative approach. Unlike other anti-sensitivity toothpastes that use potassium nitrate for temporary desensitisation, Cocoshine takes a more comprehensive approach.

High Concentration and Effectiveness

Compared to competitors, Cocoshine boasts one of the highest concentrations of n-HA (3%), sourced from the leading manufacturer, Fluidinova. What sets Cocoshine apart is the minuscule size of its rod-shaped n-HA particles, which are 25 times smaller than required for adhesion to enamel.

Dr. Paulo Quadros, the director of product and business development at Fluidinova, states, “Cocoshine contains 20% nanoXIM—a very high percentage that makes it more effective than other n-HA toothpastes. Users will see results faster with Cocoshine.”

Cocoshine doesn’t stop at n-HA; it incorporates other high-impact ingredients with well-researched results, including microbiome-balancing xylitol, bacteria-fighting coconut oil, and soothing aloe vera. Instead of relying on coarse abrasives or peroxide, Cocoshine gently removes surface stains with baking soda and silica. The result is a smile that not only looks radiant but is also healthier.
