Dsmile Launches ‘Taste the Colour’ flavoured toothpastes

AUSTRALIA: Dr. Joseph Badr, an enterprising dentist, is on a mission to promote better dental health in Australia by infusing beautiful design elements into essential oral care products. As the founder of the sustainable dental care brand Dsmile, Dr. Badr aims to inspire Australians to take more proactive care of their dental hygiene. 

Dsmile unveiled its ‘Taste the Colour’ range, featuring coloured and flavoured toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouthwash, and floss.

Response to Environmental and Health Concerns

Dr. Badr initiated Dsmile in 2021 as a response to concerning environmental and health trends he observed while leading five dental clinics. His brand’s primary goal is to create sustainable, design-oriented dental products that encourage Australians to prioritise their oral health at home.

The newly launched ‘Taste the Colour’ range of toothpaste offers a visually and sensory stimulating experience. These toothpaste products are vegan, gluten-free, SLS-free, and sugar-free. Customers can choose from a delightful array of flavours, including Native Berry (purple), Bubblegum (yellow), Strawberry (pink), and Bush Mint (green), available on Dsmile’s website.

During Dental Health Week in early August, the Australian Dental Association (ADA) published its annual Consumer Survey, revealing that 75% of Australians never floss their teeth, and one in five brushes only once per day. The ADA recommends flossing once a day and brushing twice daily.

Dr. Badr hopes that the ‘Taste the Colour’ range will motivate individuals to enjoy taking care of their teeth and make dental health a wellness priority. He recognises the challenge of transforming oral care routines into enjoyable habits and believes that visually appealing, design-led products can serve as catalysts for change.

Positive Impact on Dental Habits

Over two decades of practicing dentistry and overseeing the D-Spa Dental Clinics, Dr. Badr and his team have treated more than 20,000 patients. Dr. Badr reveals that extensive surveys and trials conducted over the last two years within the five clinics showed promising results for the Dsmile range. Over 85% of patients using these products have reportedly increased flossing, rinsing, and improved brushing habits. Dr. Badr’s vision is to integrate dental care seamlessly into Australians’ daily routines, promoting lasting oral health.
