The S320TR is a dental treatment unit from Stern Weber that has been designed with all branches of dentistry in mind – including specialist treatments such as endodontics and implantology.
At the heart of this treatment unit is the 7” control panel, from which all the functions and integrated systems are managed. Incorporating Multi-touch display, USB connection and Smartphone-like friendliness, the unit combines an easy-to-read display with an ergonomic, easy pick-up instrument layout. The module may be easily positioned for specific requirements via an arm system.
The S320TR features two flavours of touch-screen capabilities: the Smart Touch and Full Touch. The Smart Touch consists of two areas – a touch-sensitive and classic keypad, which comes as a standard.
Dynamic menus available via the touch-screen display allows the user to set hygiene parameters, adjust and personalise instrument settings – while monitoring all the devices integrated with the dental unit software.
The keypad provides a variety of rapid-fire controls such as those that direct patient chair movement.
The optional Full Touch display allows full command of all the parameters of the treatment centre via an on-board computer chipped with a powerful microprocessor running on a Linux operating system.
The high definition x-ray diagnostics and visual communication systems allows the x-ray image to appear instantaneously on the 22” monitor and 7” display.
The S320TR grants access to all the elements used for endodontic treatment – including brushless micromotor, apex locator, in addition to a database listing nearly all commercially available endocanalar burs. Further, the ENDO control mode is integrated into S320TR electronics and control software.
Implantologists can quickly set and save clinical parameters for each stage of implant site preparation and implant placement. Selecting the “Implant” mode transforms the Full Touch control panel into a surgery-dedicated interface.
To help speed up their workflow, implantologists enjoy quick access to the brushless micromotor, foot control and peristaltic pump via an integrated system that does away with space-consuming, stand-alone devices.
The treatment unit’s open-source platform allows incorporating new functions and technology. Case in point: The integrated DC X-ray system allows simple handheld wireless control thus eliminating the need for its own installation points in the surgery. This diagnostic enhancement places the x-ray unit’s positioning device and a modern sensor on the dentist’s module.
