Malaysia: The Malaysian Dental Association (MDA) has announced the 30th edition of the Malaysian Dental Association Scientific Convention and Trade Exhibition (SCATE 2023) is set to take place from 17th to 19th of February 2023 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Malaysia.
The theme for the 30th edition of MDA SCATE 2023 is “Refresh, Rejuvenate, Relearn”. This theme is fitting and relevant after the events of the past three years, including the COVID-19 pandemic.
Originally set to take place from 3 – 6 March, 2022, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, the MDA announced the cancellation on its Facebook page on 19 January.
The conference will focus on the evolution of dentistry with a growing trend towards digitalization and updates on dental practice management in today’s dynamic environment.
Scientific Program with Various Topics
The scientific program for MDA SCATE 2023 has been designed to maintain the competency of dental professionals, update and upgrade their knowledge and skills, and ensure their relevance in clinical practice.
The conference will also include discussions on the responsibilities and obligations of a Person in Charge of a clinic during a forum with the theme “Person in Charge or Person to be Charged”.
The trade exhibition will offer dental professionals the opportunity to explore the latest market trends, technologies, and new business opportunities.
Opportunities to Present Research and Showcase Skills
The scientific competition provides dental professionals with the opportunity to present and share their research findings with peers and leading experts in dentistry.
MDA SCATE 2023 has also collaborated with the Malaysian Dental Students’ Association (MDSA) to organize a student competition to provide a platform for young aspiring dentists to hone their clinical skills.
Additionally, the event organizers are staging a dental photography competition with the theme “Beauty in Dentistry”. All dental professionals and students are welcome to participate in this competition to showcase their photography skills and appreciate the art of dentistry.
Memorable Experience in Kuala Lumpur
The 30th MDA SCATE 2023 offers not only a scientific program but also an unforgettable experience in the beautiful and vibrant city of Kuala Lumpur, says the organizing team.
The Malaysian Dental Association announced its return to face-to-face meetings with the 30th MDA SCATE 2023 after an almost three-year hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event will be held in collaboration with the College of Dental Specialists and the Academy of Medicine Malaysia. MDA SCATE 2023 will be held in accordance with COVID-19 preventive measures and will provide dental professionals with an opportunity to learn, share, network.
