ZuluA-dec is introducing its first-ever digitally connected delivery systems. The newly launched platforms, the A-dec 500 Pro and A-dec 300 Pro, are set to revolutionize the way dental practitioners operate and interact with their equipment, says the company.
Marv Nelson, President of A-dec, highlighted the company’s commitment to innovation and its mission to advance dentistry. He expressed confidence in the potential of connected dental equipment, stating, “We believe that connected dental equipment is the future of dentistry. A-dec is leading the way with the introduction of these new delivery systems. Like all A-dec products, they’re designed to be simple, reliable, and intuitive.”
Updatable Software Platform
At the core of A-dec’s technology is A-dec+, an updatable software platform that establishes a new level of connectivity between the dentist, the dental practice, and their A-dec equipment.

Ryan Williams, VP of Digital and Technology at A-dec, explained the motivation behind the development of A-dec+: “Doctors are already familiar with smart, connected products in their daily lives. Our goal is to bring that technology, and an improved user experience, into their operatories—and to elevate their practices now and into the future.”
A-dec+ serves as the digital foundation for integrating the latest products, applications, and features. Through the A-dec+ mobile or web application, dentists are able to gain a centralized platform to monitor their ecosystem of connected equipment, allowing valuable insights into equipment usage and performance. Whether overseeing a single operatory, clinic, or multiple locations, A-dec+ establishes a connection between the dentist and their practice. As technology advances, A-dec+ software updates will enable A-dec equipment to evolve and adapt accordingly.

New User Interfaces
The A-dec 500 Pro delivery system is fully enabled with A-dec+, while the A-dec 300 Pro delivery system can be integrated with A-dec+ through the addition of the A-dec+ Gateway. Both platforms feature new user interfaces designed to optimize the A-dec+ experience: the Dynamic Screen 7 touchscreen for the A-dec 500 Pro and the Control Pad 5i for the A-dec 300 Pro.
Furthermore, A-dec has ensured that compatibility with A-dec+ extends to its range of products. All new 311, 411, and 511 chairs, as well as the A-dec 500 assistant’s line, will be fully compatible with A-dec+, enabling them to receive software updates.
More A-Dec+ Supported Products Coming
Nelson and Williams emphasized that the A-dec 500 Pro and A-dec 300 Pro are just the initial offerings in a series of A-dec+ supported products planned for release. Williams assured dental professionals that they can anticipate more A-dec products integrated with A-dec+ technology, further enhancing their practices.
“The A-dec 500 Pro and A-dec 300 Pro are only the beginning,” Williams affirmed. “Doctors can look forward to seeing more A-dec products enabled with A-dec+ technology.”
