Bangkok Bank Supports Mobile Medical and Dental Unit Foundation

Thailand: Bangkok Bank has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the healthcare needs of underserved communities by presenting a support fund of 100,000 baht (US$2.9k) and 500 bottles of drinking water to the Mobile Medical and Dental Unit Foundation (MMDF).

The donation was made during the 68th mobile medical and dental unit event held at Dongluang Wittaya School in Mukdahan Province, Thailand.

Providing Access to Essential Healthcare

Ms Mallada Chaisuntorn, Manager of the Mukdahan Branch, was present at the event along with the bank’s local staff. Their contribution reportedly facilitated medical treatment for over 1,000 patients who attended the event.

This initiative highlights Bangkok Bank’s dedication to being a ‘Thinking Partner,’ actively working to provide access to essential healthcare services in all circumstances.

Bangkok Bank’s Long-standing Support for MMDF

Since 2011, Bangkok Bank has consistently supported the Mobile Medical and Dental Unit Foundation (MMDF), aiming to bridge the healthcare gap for underserved and disadvantaged individuals across various genders, ages, and ethnicities.

This assistance primarily benefits residents in rural and remote areas, who often face limited access to physical and oral health care services. As part of their ongoing commitment, Bangkok Bank has already provided a support fund of 300,000 (US$8.7k) baht to the MMDF so far in 2023.

According to a press release, the Bangkok Bank’s partnership with the MMDF demonstrates the financial institution’s dedication to enhancing the well-being of communities by supporting initiatives that provide vital healthcare services to those who need them most.
