Product: Beauticem SA Self Etching Resin Cement

Beauticem SA is a self-etching, self-adhesive, dual-cure, resin cement from Shofu Dental that boasts excellent durability and bonding power. The company says the dental material, based on its special double monomers, consistently provides the same bond strength and can be used across all substrates, including enamels, dentins, ceramics, metals, porcelain, and indirect resins.

Characterized by its thin (11.8 μm) and high translucency film, Beauticem SA is able to deliver a clean margin fit. The optimal ratio of resin and filler optimizes the refractive index to provide high translucency and excellent aesthetics.

Utilising Giomer technology, the resin cement offers bioactive properties serving to remineralise and protect tooth structure.

Compared to other resin cements, the company claims that the price per gram is 50% lower than competitors – saying that although it is a resin cement, it’s priced more comparably to RMGI.

In addition to fluorine, the product emits 6 other types of ions to prevent secondary caries, and boasts a high flexural strength of over 130Mpa. Beauticem SA consists of two mixing types. It is easy to use, claims Shofu, because it is easy to control with a smooth mixing feeling.

Features at a glance:

  • Self-etching, self-adhesive resin cement
  • No primer required for all substrates (except porcelain)
  • High Radiopacity
  • Auto-mixing syringe eliminates hand mixing
  • Dual cure for easy cleanup
  • Low film thickness (11.8 μm)
