Bola AI, an artificial intelligence (AI) software company, has announced plans to integrate generative AI and large language models (LLMs) into its dental patient charting notes platform later this year. This implementation aims to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of voice notes transcription, enabling dental professionals to save time and focus more on patient care.
Supplementing Existing Features
The introduction of generative AI will supplement Bola AI’s existing voice notes feature, allowing clinicians to quickly transcribe voice notes and patient charting. By leveraging this technology, Bola expects that dental staff will be able to seamlessly record data into practice management software (PMs) and electronic health records (EHRs) systems. Bola AI’s Clinical Notes software, which is specifically trained using dental vocabulary, aims to provide a powerful AI tool for dental practices.
Rushi Ganmukhi, the founder and CEO of Bola AI, expressed his excitement about the future of speech AI and its potential to digitally transform healthcare. In a press release, he stated, “Adding human-in-the-loop AI capabilities to our software is the next step toward developing a truly touchless environment for dental practices. One of the most powerful aspects of AI is personalization, allowing providers to use their personal workflow on a general product.”
Streamlining Note Taking
In addition to voice transcription, Clinical Notes also offers standardized templates for insurance and documentation purposes, making it compatible with any desktop-based EHR system. The integration of generative AI and LLMs is expected to further propel this technology, empowering dental staff to streamline note-taking processes and allocate more time to patient care and practice growth.
Ganmukhi highlighted the company’s focus on simplifying time-consuming tasks and improving efficiency. He explained, “Introducing generative AI into our Clinical Notes software accomplishes those goals and helps practices drive additional revenue while reclaiming extra time in the process.”
According to a press release, the implementation of generative AI and LLMs within Clinical Notes is projected to become available later this year, positioning Bola AI as a pioneer in utilizing these technologies within the dental industry. This advancement hopes to revolutionize dental workflows, improve patient experiences, and pave the way for further innovations in AI-assisted dentistry.
