China: Chamlion, a China-based dental startup, has raised ¥236 million in its B round of fundraising, with 3H Health leading the investment. Other participants in the funding round included Vertex Ventures China, existing shareholder Zhencheng Capital, and Taihe Capital as the financial advisor.
The majority of the funding will be allocated towards expanding the company’s domestic and overseas business operations, as well as upgrading their existing product line.
Chamlion Rebranding
Chamlion has recently undergone a rebranding process, changing its name from “Chamlion Laser” to “Chamlion Technology”, while also undergoing a business model transformation from a traditional 3D printing equipment supplier to a cloud printing service model.
The company utilizes a hardware as a service (HaaS) model in the dental 3D printing field, connecting 3D printers to the Internet to build a large-scale distributed dental manufacturing cloud factory. Chamlion has also established localised and digital manufacturing centres in countries such as Vietnam, the United States, France, and Turkey. By the end of 2023, the company aims to have over 300 global cloud factories providing dental products to 30 million users worldwide.
Comprehensive Digital Dentistry Solutions
According to Chamlion, the digital service platform will encompass the full process of dentistry, connecting the data-design-manufacturing process of dental processing, and building an ecosystem of digital dentistry.
“Chamlion will continue to provide comprehensive digital solutions for dental professionals worldwide, and promote the digital transformation of the dental industry with innovative technologies and advanced service concepts,” said a spokesperson for the company.
The completion of the B round fundraising is expected to further accelerate Chamlion’s expansion and development in the global dental industry.
