The Clarity Aligners Flex + Force aligner system from 3M allows orthodontists to choose from two aligner materials in one treatment design.
The new aligner system is designed to afford patients a customized treatment option. According to 3M Oral Care, it complements the existing Clarity Aligners Force material by “incorporating desirable aligner characteristics that enable orthodontists to tailor treatment.”
Featuring a unique five-layer blend of materials, Clarity Aligners Flex + Force is said to provide excellent force persistence, stain and scratch resistance, in addition to easy insertion and removal, as well as good engagement with attachments.
While the outer layers resist staining and scratching, the inner layers provide flexibility and resilience. This multi-layered material offers durability while reducing thickness.
The new aligner system also works with the 3M Oral Care Portal, offering orthodontists a single integrated workflow for two-material Tx Designs. The 3M Oral Care Portal is a cloud-based solution for Advanced Tx Design. It provides a one-stop platform for planning and refining aligner, digital bonding and combination treatment.
Catering to both simple and complex treatments, the Clarity Aligners Flex + Force aligner system can also be used to address patients with mixed dentition.
