Korea: Dentis, a provider of 3D printers for dental applications, has announced a global partnership with Medit, a provider of intraoral scanners. With this partnership, Dentis has introduced Medit’s intraoral scanner into their existing range of products, creating Dentis’ own digital solution capable of various outputs from impression acquisition.
Link between Dentis’ 3D printer and Medit’s software
Dentis offers intraoral scanners including the i600, i700, and i700w (wireless), which are lightweight and easy to use. The scanners also come with small tips, making them ideal for patients with small mouths or children. The software provided by Medit, “Medit Link,” is also available for free use and offers temporary designs, model builders, and sprint apps using scan files. This makes it easy for anyone to design prosthetics without a separate CAD design.
Dentis’ 3D printer “Zenith L2” and “Medit Link” can now be linked, allowing various clinical cases such as temporary teeth, sprint, and models to be printed immediately once the design is completed.
Promotions to commemorate the partnership
To celebrate the partnership, Dentis is offering various options such as the i600, i700, and i700w at the OF Market in Korea. Dentis also offers a promotion of 50% discount on additional purchases when one intraoral scanner is purchased. Customers can choose from four options: a 2-year warranty extension, a 250,000 won (US$190) coupon for purchasing transparent correction seraphin x IOS (i700 or i700w), a 73% discount on guide starter package, or a Zenith L valued at 2.9 million won (US$2200).
“Through this partnership, we are able to provide a complete digital dental solution service. Dentis possesses a dedicated workforce of dental laboratory technicians from education to after-sales service to meet the needs of clinics hoping to build a digital dentistry clinic.” said a Dentis representative.
They also expressed their hope for much interest and support as numerous new products are planned to be released this year.
