Germany: The ITI Congress Germany and Austria 2023 is set to take place on May 12-13, 2023 at The Maritim Hotel & International Congress Center Dresden. The event, which brings together dental professionals to discuss implant dentistry and related fields, will focus on sustainability in both implantology and for the sake of the environment and future generations.

Taking Initiative with Sustainability 

The International Team for Implantology (ITI) aims to lead the way in sustainability by organizing a sustainable implantology congress. According to the organizers, this initiative will not only provide scientific evidence but also take a pioneering role in sustainability.

Efforts towards sustainability include careful selection of the venue, such as the use of solar panels and LED lights. Green electricity will also be used during the event, and printed materials will be avoided. Printed materials that are necessary will be printed on carbon-neutral FSC paper using eco-friendly ink. Additionally, attendees can benefit from discounted DB Congress tickets with green electricity to travel to the ITI Congress.

A digital congress bag via mobile app will be provided, and catering will be sourced from regional and seasonal sources with the use of reusable dishes. Waste separation during the event will also be implemented, and the carbon footprint will be measured and compensated.

The ITI Sections Germany and Austria also supports atmosfair, a climate protection organization that engages in active climate protection, including the compensation of greenhouse gases through renewable energy. The ITI will donate 25 euros per participant to support the project.

Quality Education for Implant Dentists

The ITI aims to provide comprehensive, quality education in implant dentistry and support and facilitate cutting-edge research in this field. Its objective is to be the authoritative resource on current and emerging issues in implant dentistry for dental professionals globally.

According to the ITI, the theme of the Congress, “Sustainability in implantology – wish and reality,” will provide attendees with the opportunity to benefit from the knowledge of renowned national and international experts. This Congress will bring together dental professionals from around the world to discuss sustainability and its implications for implant dentistry.
