Glidewell and LuxCreo Collaborating to Introduce the fastprint.io 3D Printing Solution

US: Glidewell, a dental lab and dental technology company, has announced a partnership with LuxCreo, a prominent 3D printing company specializing in dental appliances based in San Francisco. The result of the collaboration is the fastprint.io™ 3D Printing Solution, a co-branded dental 3D printing solution that expands Glidewell’s digital offerings and enhances their glidewell.io™ In-Office Solution platform.

According to a press release, the glidewell.io In-Office Solution leverages digital technology to create single-visit restorations. This AI-driven chairside CAD/CAM system reportedly allows clinicians complete control over the restorative process, enabling them to provide patients with convenient, lab-quality treatment options while improving practice profitability.

Through the partnership with LuxCreo, which provides fully integrated solutions including cloud-connected 3D printers, AI-enabled printing software, and advanced materials, dentists can now expand their range of treatment options.

Streamlined Models and Nightguards Creation

With the range of resins developed by Glidewell, dental professionals can easily create models and nightguards using a streamlined workflow, says the company. LuxCreo’s recent FDA Class II 510(k) clearance to produce same-day clear aligners in as little as two hours is said to further enhance the capabilities of the fastprint.io solution.

LuxCreo’s co-founder and chief revenue officer, Michael Strohecker, expressed pride in the partnership, stating, “LuxCreo is focused on developing and delivering innovative 3D printing technologies that provide an exceptional patient experience with faster, more accurate automated workflows.”

Moreover, LuxCreo is currently developing additional indications, including retainers, dentures, and crowns, to further expand the applications of the fastprint.io technology. Compared to other 3D-printed technologies, the fastprint.io reportedly requires minimal post-processing and can directly print clear appliances using LuxCreo Digital Polishing™.

Robert Brenneise, senior vice president of sales, marketing, and education at Glidewell, highlighted the importance of simplified and low-labor workflows for clinicians. He stated, “That’s why we’re committed to delivering products that are user-friendly, affordably priced, and backed by manufacturer-direct support.” The partnership with LuxCreo aligns with Glidewell’s mission to improve the lives of dentists and their patients through digital innovations that make dentistry more effective and easier to manage.

Available Through Glidewell

The fastprint.io 3D Printing Solution will be exclusively available through Glidewell and will be offered as a bundle, including the 3D printer, starter kit, and wash and cure units, priced at $16,990. Dentists can also choose bundle options that include the fastscan.io Scanning Solution and fastmill.io In-Office Mill, providing a comprehensive digital workflow.

Jim Glidewell, founder and president of Glidewell, emphasized the goal of making digital dentistry accessible and affordable to dentists worldwide. He stated, “By adding fastprint.io, we’re building toward a future where every dentist can control their own restorative workflow, bringing value to the practice and patients alike.”
