Streamlining Metal 3D Printing Processes

The agreement between GPAInnova America and Xact Metal focuses on harnessing the innovative technologies developed by both companies to streamline the metal 3D printing process. By utilizing GPAInnova’s DryLyte Technology, a dry electropolishing solution, as a postprocessing method for Xact Metal’s metal 3D printers, the collaboration aims to enhance accessibility and efficiency in metal AM for organizations of varying sizes.

The partnership emphasizes the digitization of manual labor in dental laboratories, highlighting the potential for significant time and cost savings. By incorporating DryLyte finishing technology with metal 3D printing processes, the collaboration anticipates notable benefits, including a 60-80% reduction in polishing time, faster printing compared to traditional casting methods, and decreased reliance on manual labor.

Jesús Contreras, business developer at GPAInnova America, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “Combining our expertise, we can shape the proper perspective for the AM adopters and have a final product to fulfill their needs.”

Juan Mario Gomez, CEO of Xact Metal, highlighted the significance of automating the finishing process, which reduces the need for manual labor and saves time for customers.
