Great Lakes Teams Up with In Hand Dental to Offer Teledentistry Platform

Great Lakes Dental Technologies, a global provider of orthodontic products and services, has announced a new partnership with In Hand Dental, a developer of a teledentistry platform used for remote monitoring and virtual consultations. The collaboration will allow Great Lakes to offer the platform under its brand for clear aligners, with additional treatment options to be added in the future.

In Hand Dental is powered by In Hand Health, a software technology firm that creates software solutions for practices to market their services and treat patients from initial consultation to wellness periods. Great Lakes, an employee-owned company, provides products, laboratory services, and both in-house and online appliance fabrication training to members of the dental profession worldwide.

AI-Powered Telehealth Solutions

The teledentistry platform connects dentists and orthodontists directly with patients, and uses AI-powered telehealth solutions to provide safe and timely care while reducing in-patient visits. The customizable platform enables practitioners to monitor patient progress, conduct virtual visits, and provide educational materials, videos, and photos. Subscriptions are available based on the number of clinical users and patients.

John Ende, Great Lakes president and CEO, expressed his excitement about the partnership, saying, “We are always looking for solutions to help our customers and In Hand Dental’s unique model offers us that opportunity.”

With this partnership, Great Lakes aims to improve patient outcomes, reduce chair time, and add value to their practices. By offering a teledentistry platform, dentists and orthodontists can provide quality care to their patients while reducing the need for in-person visits.
