Indian and Thai dental universities sign MOU

India: Saveetha Dental College and the Faculty of Dentistry, Khon Kaen University, Thailand inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for student exchange, faculty visits and joint research collaborations.

The MoU signing ceremony was graced by Nitirooge Phoneprasert, Consul General, Royal Thai Consulate in Chennai.

Indian and Thai delegates

The Indian delegation in attendance include: Dr N.M Veeraiyan, Chancellor, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Science; Dr Sivaji Chadaram, Vice Chancellor; Dr Sheeja Varghese, Registrar; and Dr Aravind Kumar, Dean of Saveetha Dental College.

The visiting delegates from Khon Kaen University, Thailand, include:

Dr Waranuch Pitiphat, Dean; Dr Pattaramon Rattanaphan, Associate Dean for Dental Hospital; Dr Teekayu Plangkoon Jorns, Associate Dean for Research, Graduate Studies and International Affairs; Dr Ajiravudh Subarnbhesaj, Associate Dean for Education; and Dr Supanigar Ruangsri, Assistant Dean for Research, Graduate Studies and International Affairs.

Positive bilateral ties

Addressing the ceremony, Phoneprasert praised the Indo-Thailand friendship and bilateral collaborations.

He also took the opportunity to compliment Saveetha Dental College for their accomplishments in NIRF Ranking and QS World ranking – Saveetha Dental College is currently ranked first in India in the global recognized university ranking body.
