Ivoclar celebrates 100 year anniversary

Ivoclar, a company that focuses on developing and producing products for dentists, is commemorating its 100th birthday in 2023 with the slogan “A Century of Innovation”

In 1933, Ivoclar transferred its headquarters from Zurich, Switzerland, where it was first established, to Liechtenstein. The business is a supplier of integrated solutions for premium dental applications. According to Ivoclar, the family-owned business leads the global market in a number of product categories such as ceramic furnaces (Programat series).

The IPS e.max lithium disilicate glass-ceramic is one of Ivoclar’s most well-known products, debuted in 2005. Ivoclar is also known for producing highly aesthetic tooth replacements, which was the company’s main focus when it was founded. This connection to its roots will be celebrated in 2023 as the company marks its centenary.

A Century of Innovation

Over the course of its 100-year history, Ivoclar has a history of creating technologies that have had a substantial impact on the dental industry. The corporation has chosen “A Century of Innovation” as the theme for its centenary festivities because it runs one of the biggest and most reputable research and development facilities in the sector.

“We build our success on customer-relevant innovations paired with integrated system solutions, efficient applications, excellent quality and constant reliability as well as trust and respectful cooperation,” said Diego Gabathuler, CEO of the Ivoclar Group.

“We focus on giving people a healthy and beautiful smile, resulting in a better quality of life. For this purpose, we supply our products to around 130 countries.

“We employ roughly 3500 people worldwide, who continuously strive to optimize the company’s offerings of integrated solutions that feature intelligent systems, practice-oriented training and education as well as comprehensive after-sales support and customer-centric service.”

Ivoclar operates production facilities in Liechtenstein, Germany, Austria, Italy, Sweden, the US, and the Philippines among its other 47 subsidiaries and branches globally.

The company set a record gain in turnover in 2021 of 842 million Swiss francs ($US 912m) across all of its markets. Additionally, the company’s revenue has increased for the fiscal year 2022.

Events to commemorate Ivoclar’s 100th birthday

Ivoclar will commemorate its 100th anniversary in 2023 with a number of unique activities and events, including trade shows, educational and training seminars, and the opening of the new head office building at the company’s Liechtenstein headquarters, which will also house a visitor and education centre. All of these events will showcase a century of invention.

“The 100th birthday of the Ivoclar Group takes place in dynamic times. Nevertheless, I am certain that the company will continue to be successful in the future”, said Helmut Schuster, chair of the supervisory board of the Ivoclar Group.

“Why am I so confident? Because the corporate values of respect, smile, focus, act and grow are deeply rooted within the company, and they are upheld by the employees and managers of the company and above all by Christina and Christoph Zeller and the next generation of the entrepreneurial family.”
