Kettenbach unveils new Futar materials

Kettenbach Dental has announced the release of two new additions to its Futar® product line – Futar Easy and Futar Easy Fast. According to the company, the new bite registration materials are based on A-silicone and are designed to allow for precise capturing of occlusal relationships.

For easy, immediate and smaller applications

The press release from the company states that the materials are easy to apply and are suitable for applications requiring a hard silicone (Shore-A 90). Both Futar Easy and Futar Easy Fast are said to be easily trimmed and have a low dispensing force, making application easy. Additionally, the materials can be applied immediately, eliminating waste. The materials are also highly thixotropic, which means they do not flow away into interdental spaces but remain stable on the tooth.

Futar Easy Fast is particularly useful for smaller applications due to its shorter processing time and is said to increase patient comfort. Both products also feature a matching colour code, with the cartridge cap and shield on the cartridge corresponding with the mixing tip by colour.

Highly thixotropic materials

In addition to their precision and ease of use, the materials are highly thixotropic, meaning they do not flow away into interdental spaces but remain stable on the tooth. This feature allows for accurate bite registration, even in tight spaces.

Futar Easy and Futar Easy Fast come in two different setting characteristics to cater to different needs. The regular set has a comfortable working time of 30 seconds and a short intraoral setting time of 90 seconds. The fast set, on the other hand, has an extra-fast working time of 15 seconds and a very short intraoral setting time of 45 seconds, allowing for the bite registration to be created in just one minute!
