Medit Launches New Occlusion Analyser App

South Korea: Medit, a provider of 3D intraoral scanners and digital dentistry solutions, has launched a new app, the Medit Occlusion Analyser, aimed at dental professionals.

The app offers an efficient way for dental practitioners to perform occlusion analysis without the need to return to the Medit Scan for Clinics or reprocess data.

Automatic Detection and Analysis System

The Medit Occlusion Analyser app is equipped with an automatic detection and analysis system of occlusal interferences that allows users to explore the occlusal relationship and review results through annotations and colour maps.

The app’s section view feature enables users to create section planes to examine specific areas of interest and use multi-view to compare sections of multiple planes. The app also allows users to measure distances by one or two points for greater accuracy.

Colour Map Depicts Occlusal Relationship

In addition, the Medit Occlusion Analyser includes a colour map available in both opened and closed states to provide a visual representation of the occlusal relationship.

The app’s alignment and edit modes allow users to realign jaw data to occlusal bite based on selected areas or points and edit data by trimming, sculpting, or filling holes. The app permits users to replay mandibular movement recordings.

The Medit Occlusion Analyser app is intended for general communication and consultation purposes only and is not intended for medical or clinical use, Medit says. The South Korean company says it does not take responsibility for any misinterpretation that may occur during the analysis and interpretation of the analysis results.
