MouthWatch, a company specialising in teledentistry and intraoral imaging solutions, has announced the availability of Comfort Soft as an accessory for its intraoral cameras and teledentistry solutions.
Clearer, Unobstructed Images
Comfort Soft is a soft tissue retractor developed by Armor Dental, which aims to provide a clearer view of a patient’s mouth while ensuring a comfortable chairside experience.
Apart from in-office intraoral imaging, Comfort Soft is also designed for post-procedure home hygiene care, virtual dental care visits, and to help patients isolate teeth requiring special attention. It can also be beneficial in improving the oral health of physically compromised patients and other vulnerable populations.
According to Brant Herman, founder and CEO of MouthWatch, “Capturing clear, unobstructed images is essential to effective dental care. Comfort Soft is an ideal aid for in-office intraoral imaging, virtual dental care visits, or post-procedure home hygiene care to help patients isolate teeth that require special attention.”
Improving In-Person and Teledentistry Exams
Cherie Le Penske, CEO of Armor Dental, expressed her excitement about the partnership, saying, “Comfort Soft, the newest instrument in our soft retraction portfolio, which is now being offered by MouthWatch, enables clinicians and caregivers to improve intraoral camera imaging, teledentistry exams, and patients’ hygiene.”
Dental professionals who have tried the Comfort Soft retractor in conjunction with the MouthWatch intraoral camera have reported positive results.
Dr Brooke Fukuoka, a dental practitioner in Twin Falls, Idaho, says, “The quality of my in-person and TeleDent exams have improved significantly since our team started using the MouthWatch camera and the Comfort Soft retractor together. It’s amazing how much I can now see that I struggled to see before.”
