MouthWatch, LLC, a provider of teledentistry solutions, has announced the opening of nominations for its Teledentistry Innovation Awards, also known as “The Tellies.”
These awards aim to honor individuals, organizations, and programs that have made significant contributions in the field of teledentistry and virtual dental care, with a focus on expanding access to oral health services and improving overall dental care outcomes.
Three New Categories
Teledentistry has seen a remarkable expansion in recent years, with various virtual-first care applications being developed to cater to oral health needs. One notable example is Dentistry. One, a virtual-first dental care network introduced earlier this year by MouthWatch.
Building upon the success of Dentistry. One, MouthWatch has introduced three additional award categories for this year’s Teledentistry Innovation Awards: employers, industry innovators, and payers. These new categories join the existing ones, which include dentists, hygienists, oral health programs, and educational institutions. The inclusion of these new categories highlights the growing recognition of the benefits offered by teledentistry and virtual dental care, as well as the unique ways in which these benefits can reach patients.
Brant Herman, Founder & Chief Executive Officer of MouthWatch and Dentistry. One, expressed his enthusiasm for the expanded award categories, stating, “The addition of new Tellie Award categories is a direct reflection of the growing number of individuals and organizations who recognize not only the benefits of teledentistry and virtual dental care, but also the new ways these benefits can reach patients.”
Nominations Currently Open
Nominations for the Teledentistry Innovation Awards are currently open and will remain so until September 15, 2023. Interested individuals and organizations can submit their nominations on The Tellies’ official website.
The winners of the Tellie Awards will be announced during the upcoming 2023 Greater New York Dental Meeting, scheduled to take place from November 24 to 29, 2023. Further details regarding the location and timing of the Tellie Awards event will be announced separately.
The Teledentistry Innovation Awards serve as a platform to recognize and celebrate the remarkable efforts and achievements of those who have contributed significantly to advancing oral health through the utilization of teledentistry and virtual dental care, encouraging further innovation in the dental industry.
