The MouthWatch Plus+ HD intraoral camera combines imaging software, lens engineering and USB 3.0 connectivity to offer users high-resolution images without any lags. The Plus+ is also capable of streaming live videos at a smooth frame rate: 60 FPS (frames per second).
Manufacturer Mouthwatch says its current retail price for pre-ordering the camera is US$1199. If you purchase two or more units, the price per camera is reduced to US$1099.
According to Mouthwatch, a HD Intraoral camera with the same performance features – including a 4-level adjustable LED lighting – costs between US$2000-US$5000, but only outputs 720p as opposed to its higher resolution at 1080p. The unit comes with a 2-year warranty.
Other specifications include: a fixed focal range (8-45mm), 81-degree viewing angle, camera button-capture software, integrated USB 3.0 connectivity with attached cable, 5600 K (daylight) colour temperature.
