Exam Details: Online Format and Question Structure

NEET MDS 2024 will be conducted online, requiring candidates to answer questions in two parts. Part A of the exam comprises 100 questions, while Part B consists of 140 questions. The exam duration is set for 3 hours, scheduled from 1 am to 12 noon. For each correct answer, candidates will receive 4 marks, with a deduction of 1 mark for every incorrect response.

“The exam structure and marking scheme are crucial aspects for candidates to prepare effectively,” notes the report.

NEET-MDS serves as an eligibility-cum-ranking single entrance examination designed for admission to various Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) courses under the Dentists Act, 1948. The qualification in NEET-MDS is a mandatory prerequisite for entry into MDS courses across universities and institutions in the country.

Notably, no other entrance examination, either at the state or institution level, is considered valid for MDS course entry.
