Ooma and NexHealth Join Forces to Enhance Dental Patient Calls

Business communications provider Ooma has joined forces with patient experience platform NexHealth to introduce a more personalized approach to patient phone calls in dental practices.

According to a press release, this collaboration brings forth a new solution that integrates the NexHealth Synchronizer™ and the Ooma Office business phone service. The goal is to equip dental practice staff with additional context and information when reaching out to patients, ultimately improving phone call efficiency and enhancing the patient experience.

Synchronized Patient Information

The partnership between Ooma and NexHealth offers several key features to dental practices. The NexHealth Synchronizer enables the synchronization of patient information from the practice management system with the Ooma Office business phone service, which is cloud-based.

This synchronization allows practice staff to gain real-time access to patient details during phone calls, providing important context such as the date of the previous visit, the date of the next scheduled visit, and even information about family members. This enhanced visibility can reportedly enhance staff interactions with patients and streamline the communication process.

Other Call Features Available

Additionally, staff members can leverage features such as call muting, call holding, call recording, call transfer, and call optimization. These functionalities provide staff with the tools needed to improve the patient experience and create smoother interactions over the phone.

“Our partnership with Ooma is game-changing for dental practices. Ooma’s smart phone system can now instantly read details about the patient from the practice management system,” said Chris Smith, head of partnerships at NexHealth.

One of the notable features resulting from the partnership is the Patient Caller-ID Pop, which is expected to significantly benefit dental practices. Chris Burgy, vice president of corporate development at Ooma, highlighted its advantages, stating, “The Patient Caller-ID Pop powered by NexHealth is a great way for Ooma’s dental customers to equip staff with patient insights to better predict next steps and provide timely support to create improved patient outcomes.”
