Pearl, a provider of dental AI solutions, has joined forces with Oryx Dental Software, a cloud-based dental practice management system developer, to integrate Pearl’s Second Opinion disease detection capabilities into Oryx’s native dental imaging feature set. This partnership aims to offer dentists using Oryx access to advanced AI-assisted dentistry tools.
Ophir Tanz, the founder and CEO of Pearl, expressed his commitment to advancing the dental industry by providing widespread access to the clinical advantages of AI technology, stating “Our partnership with Oryx will seamlessly integrate Second Opinion into the dental industry’s most comprehensive cloud-based patient care and practice management system, bringing the benefits of AI-assisted dentistry to Oryx users nationwide”.
Pearl’s Second Opinion Within Oryx PMS
According to a press release, Pearl’s Second Opinion is a chairside AI software that holds the distinction of being the first software with global regulatory clearances for assisting dentists in detecting common conditions in adult teeth. It can analyze bitewing, periapical, and panoramic X-rays in patients as young as 12 years old.
Through the integration of Pearl’s technology, dentists using Oryx will gain direct access to Second Opinion’s AI capabilities for reviewing intraoral images, scans, and radiographs within Oryx’s Practice Management Software (PMS).
