SOUTH KOREA: Osstem Implant, a leading dental implant technology developer, has emerged as a preferred destination for foreign dentists seeking training in advanced implant technologies.
The company proudly announced that over 1,650 dentists from abroad visited its headquarters in western Seoul last year. These professionals, representing more than 16 countries, including China, the United States, Russia, Turkey, Japan, India, the Philippines, Brazil, and Iraq, participated in 73 separate visits.
Immersive Experience in Cutting-Edge Dentistry
During their visits, the international dentists had the opportunity to explore various facets of Osstem Implant. This included a tour of the company’s central laboratory, examination of its medical products, and a firsthand look at a model dentist’s office within the firm’s premises. Notably, participants also engaged with the company’s latest surgical equipment for educational purposes, enriching their understanding of cutting-edge practices.
The surge in international visitors followed the reclassification of the COVID-19 pandemic to endemic status by the country’s central disease control authority last year. This pivotal change allowed Osstem Implant to resume its tour program for overseas visitors, providing them with valuable insights into the company’s advancements.
A company official highlighted the satisfaction of the participants, stating, “Those who joined our tours are very much satisfied as they value observing the cutting-edge medical technologies up close as it is a rare and valuable experience.” Anticipating continued interest, the company expects to welcome more than 3,000 dentists from overseas this year.
Osstem World Meeting: A Global Symposium
In a significant development, Osstem Implant is set to host the Osstem World Meeting, a global scholarly symposium featuring lectures and networking sessions, from April 27 to 28. This event, held in Seoul for the first time in 13 years, is poised to attract a substantial number of visitors from around the globe, further solidifying the company’s global presence.
Osstem Implant’s impressive office complex, constructed in 2020, comprises two 10-story buildings with 14 labs and 13 seminar halls, all equipped with the latest surgical tools. The company also established a pavilion within the office to showcase its new products. This facility has become a crucial destination for medical practitioners in the field of dentistry, attracting professionals from various sectors.
Last year, Osstem Implant’s tour program welcomed over 4,240 visitors, with a diverse profile that included students and instructors in dental hygiene and dentures, professors, and surgeons from dental hospitals, dentists from local clinics, as well as researchers and government officials. This multifaceted engagement underscores the company’s commitment to sharing knowledge and fostering collaboration in the field of dental care.
