Pearl’s Second Opinion AI Now Available in Curve Dental’s SuperHero PMS

Curve Dental, a cloud-based dental management software company, has teamed up with Pearl, a dental AI solutions company, to offer Pearl’s Second Opinion disease detection capabilities directly within Curve’s SuperHero Practice Management System (PMS). This integration allows SuperHero users to utilize the artificial intelligence (AI) clinical capabilities within their PMS, resulting in optimized clinical outcomes.

According to Mark Blount, Vice President of Marketing at Curve Dental, “Partnering with Pearl offers our customers yet another way to deliver greater patient outcomes while improving profitability. We are excited to add Pearl’s AI technology to the native imaging platform within Curve’s SuperHero because it will enable our providers to better diagnose treatments and facilitate patient education, resulting in greater treatment acceptance.”

Access to Full Range of Second Opinion’s Capabilities 

Pearl’s Second Opinion is the only clinical AI software with regulatory clearance as a patient-facing radiologic aid to dentists for detection of multiple dental diseases in permanent teeth of patients 12 and older. Curve users can now access the full range of Second Opinion capabilities across all bitewing and periapical x-rays they capture, store, and view within Curve’s software, providing a reportedly seamless AI-powered imaging experience to Curve’s users.

The official rollout of this partnership follows an announcement made in November 2022, and both companies expect that it will bring a significant improvement to dental practitioners’ diagnoses and treatment plans, resulting in greater treatment acceptance from patients.

According to the two companies, the direct integration of Pearl’s AI clinical capabilities with Curve Dental’s SuperHero practice management system is a significant advancement in dental technology. As stated by Blount, “We are excited to be at the forefront of bringing AI-powered clinical capabilities directly into practice management software to improve the efficiency of dental practices while providing better patient outcomes.”
