Product: PlanMill 35 milling machine

As part of the new Planmeca FIT CAD/CAM System, the PlanMill 35 milling unit from Planmeca is a wet and dry chairside mill for general dentistry.

The versatile is able to mill single-visit crowns, inlays, onlays, veneers and up to 3-unit bridges. Offering a variety of material choices – from zirconia and glass to hybrid ceramics and composites –the mill can quickly and easily be changed from wet to dry milling.

It features an open architecture platform that allows for more integration possibilities with other technology.

The high-speed mill is said to minimize downtime with built-in intelligence that replaces broken and worn burs. It can also auto-select the appropriate tool for each restoration, thus optimising workflow efficiencies and practice productivity. Guided maintenance features are available to assist staff to make sure the milling unit is performing at its peak at all times. 

Included as part of the system, the Emerald S intraoral scanner has been upgraded with the ability to take full arch scans in 60 seconds or less.

The mill works intuitively with the PlanCad software which features design tools to automatically generate restoration proposals, allowing dentists to design restorations in minutes.
