Rhondium Launches QuickConnect Anatomy Band for Restorative Dentistry

Rhondium has introduced their latest offering, the QuickConnect Anatomy Band. Designed for restorative procedures, this circumferential matrix band is said to boast exceptional ease of use and an anatomical shape.

Easy Placement and Adjustment

The QuickConnect Anatomy Band employs a hassle-free placement technique similar to that of a Tofflemire retainer, which reportedly eliminates the associated drawbacks. Featuring a detachable carrier, this band enables swift and effortless placement, tightening, and adjustment, says the manufacturer.

With its design that mimics the natural contours of teeth, the QuickConnect Anatomy Band aims to ensure a leak-free marginal seal. Its compact size makes it particularly advantageous for accessing tight spaces, such as second and third molars.

Durable and Secure

Boasting a hard contoured foil measuring a remarkable 35 microns in thickness, the QuickConnect Anatomy Band surprises users with its robustness, says Rhondium. According to a press release, this durable construction, coupled with pre-wedging capabilities, allows the band to navigate tight contacts while maintaining its shape.

The QuickConnect Anatomy Band also incorporates a color-coded, adjustable plastic retainer. Designed to remain securely in place during usage, it prevents unwanted loosening or unwinding. Additionally, the plastic retainer arm can be swiveled for use in any quadrant, further enhancing its versatility.

Two Versions for Different Needs

QuickConnect offers two versions of the QuickConnect Anatomy Band to cater to different requirements. The regular version features no tabs on the top edge, while the tabbed version introduces special “Tight-Contact-Tabs” that enable a secure connection with adjacent teeth.

By utilizing a dental probe during light-curing or temporarily bonding the tabs to the occlusal surfaces of neighboring teeth with dental bond and flowable composite, clinicians can achieve tight contacts, saving valuable time and optimizing the filling and curing process for both mesial and distal boxes.
